Project Arkduo

Two girls, different worlds, and different lives, but terrible fates await both of them in the future. At least, that's what should happen. A mysterious tool, capable of syncing both of their worlds and their lives suddenly appears in front of them. Nobody knows its origin, but that one tool alone will change their fate forever. This project portrays their first journey when they meet another version of their future selves.

Inspired by Celeste & Hollow Knight - Style movement and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance that sync their OSTs during a boss fight, Project Arkduo is a platformer game with a perspective-changing mechanic that can also be utilized during a Rhythm Games-like boss fight.

Game made for CSUI's Game Development Course 2024 Individual Game Jam.

Note: For better experience, please download the executable version of the game. There are some issues in browser version probably related to shader compiling stuff during the gameplay, causing freeze and will desync the music during the bossfight.

Controls

  • A, D: Moving left or right.
  • Space: Jump.
  • Shift: Dash.
  • Q or Left Click: Switch Perspective to navigate through obstacles and potentially evade big attacks.

Double Jumps and Wall Jump are also available.

Diversifier

  • We Were Rabbits: No comments on this, just play the game and see by yourself ;D (Spoiler??).
  • Sis Puella Magica!: Boss fight consist of two phases.
  • Lambdadelta: Implementing two perspectives of the two girls.
